Banana, Date & Walnut Bread

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring and restrictive – remember everything in moderation!

Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of self raising flour
  • 1 tsp. bicarbonate soda
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup castor sugar
  • 125 grams of chopped dates
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • ¼ cup of chopped walnuts

Method

  • Turn your oven to 180° Celsius and place baking paper into a cake tin (shape of the tin doesn’t matter but a log shape works well)
  • Sift your flour, bicarb soda and nutmeg into a bowl
  • Then add your chopped dates and walnuts into the dry mixture
  • In another bowl place your milk, eggs and mashed bananas and combine
  • Combine all of your ingredients by folding your dry mixture through your wet ingredients
  • Place combined mixture into your cake tin and place in oven for approx. 45 minutes
  • Allow to cool most of all ENJOY!
