Turkey is an excellent meat choice as it is quite lean and full of protein! Have the turkey burgers and salad on their own or put them between 2 pieces of grainy bread or a grainy roll and you have yourself a delicious burger – YUM!
Makes 16 patties
Ingredients
Burger Ingredients:- 1kg Turkey Mince
- 2 eggs (whisked)
- 1 tbsp. crushed garlic
- 1 tbsp. crushed ginger
- 4 springs onions
- 1 tsp. chilli flakes
- ½ cup of breadcrumbs
- Splash of fish sauce
- Splash of tamari (soy sauce)
- ½ lime juice
- 1 bag of mixed lettuce mix
- ½ large cucumber diced
- 2 medium tomatoes diced
- 1 red capsicum diced
- A few sprigs of mint
- 1 packet of bean shoots
- Small handful of crushed unsalted peanuts
- Sprinkle of dried shallots
Method
- Combine burger ingredients into a large bowl and mix, roll patties with your hands. Place on fry pan with a spray of olive oil. When turkey is cooked it resembles the same colour as cooked chicken!
- Simply throw the salad all together and enjoy!
